Privacy Policy
01What this covers
This policy covers the Trip Highway game for iOS, published by Perikee Labs LLC. It is separate from the policy for perikeelabs.com, which describes the website and nothing else. Where the two differ, this one governs the app.
02There is no account
Trip Highway has no sign-up, no login and no profile. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or any other personal detail, and there is no way to enter one. The game has no chat, no comments, no user-generated content and no social features of any kind.
03What stays on your device
Your best score, your coin balance, the parts you own and have equipped, and your graphics quality preference are stored locally on your phone and are not transmitted anywhere. We cannot see them. They are removed if you delete the app, and because they never leave the device they cannot be restored on a new one.
04What is collected, and by whom
Trip Highway is free and supported by advertising. We do not operate our own servers and we do not run our own analytics. Everything collected from the app is collected by two named third parties, and it is limited to the following:
Advertising identifier (IDFA), collected by Yodo1 MAS. Yodo1 provides the advertising in the game and works with a number of advertising networks on our behalf. Your device's advertising identifier is used to select advertisements and to measure whether they were effective. It is used for tracking as Apple defines that term, meaning it may be combined with data from other companies' apps and websites. It is not connected to your identity, because we hold no identity to connect it to.
Approximate location, collected by Yodo1 MAS. This is a rough region — typically country or city — worked out from your internet connection's IP address. It is used to choose advertising appropriate to where you are. Trip Highway does not use your device's location services and never asks for location permission. We cannot see your precise location and neither can the advertising networks.
Purchase records, collected by RevenueCat. When you buy coins or the ad-free upgrade, RevenueCat records which product was bought so that the purchase can be validated, so that a permanent purchase such as ad-free can be restored on a new device, and so that we can see how many purchases have been made in total. Purchases are recorded against an anonymous identifier that RevenueCat generates. It is not connected to your name, email address or Apple ID, and we cannot use it to work out who you are.
05Advertising, tracking, and how to turn it off
The first time you open Trip Highway, iOS asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. This is Apple's prompt, not ours, and your answer is entirely yours to make.
If you allow it, advertisements are chosen using your device's advertising identifier. If you decline, that identifier is withheld by iOS and you will still see advertising, but it will be less relevant. The game itself is identical either way. Nothing is locked, nothing is withheld, no feature behaves differently, and you are never asked twice.
You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, where Trip Highway can be switched on or off. Turning it off in iOS is the most effective control available to you, and it applies immediately regardless of anything in this policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Yodo1 MAS presents its own consent dialog in addition to Apple's, and asks separately whether advertising may be personalised. It appears only where local law requires it, which is why you may not see it. Your answer there is passed to the advertising networks and can be changed from the same dialog.
06Payment
All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment details are entered in Apple's own interface, and neither we nor RevenueCat ever see your card number, bank details or billing address. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase completed and which product it was for.
07What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, calendar, health or fitness data, financial information, browsing history, search history, precise location or any content you create.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not provide it to data brokers. One thing does need saying plainly rather than hidden behind that sentence: California law (the CPRA) defines sharing to include passing an identifier to advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising, and that is exactly what the advertising identifier is used for when you allow tracking. Under that definition Trip Highway shares it. Declining Apple's tracking prompt, or switching Trip Highway off under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, stops it — that switch is the opt-out, it works immediately, and it needs nothing from us.
08How long it is kept, and how to have it deleted
On your device: your score, coins, parts and settings stay until you delete Trip Highway, which removes them immediately and completely. Nothing is backed up to us, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and nothing to restore.
Advertising data: held by Yodo1 and the networks it works with, for the periods set out in their policy. The fastest way to stop it being collected at all is the iOS tracking switch described in section 05. To have data already held deleted, contact Yodo1 using the policy linked in section 11, or email us and we will pass the request on.
Purchase records: held by RevenueCat for as long as the purchase may need validating or restoring — a non-consumable such as ad-free has to remain on record for it to be restorable to you at all, which is a feature rather than a retention choice. Deletion requests go to RevenueCat through the policy linked in section 11.
Email: if you write to us, we keep the correspondence only as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and to keep reasonable business records, then delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
09Crash reports
Apple may provide us with crash and performance reports from devices whose owners have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers. These come from Apple in aggregate, are governed by Apple's own privacy settings on your device, and do not identify you to us. Trip Highway contains no crash-reporting or analytics software of its own.
10Children
Trip Highway is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at admin@perikeelabs.com and we will act on it.
11Third-party policies
The two companies named above handle data under their own policies, which we do not control. We have reviewed both, and we require them, through the agreements under which we use their services, to protect this data to a standard equal to the one described here. If we became aware that either did not, we would stop using them.

12Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to personal information held about you, to ask that it be corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because Trip Highway holds no account and no identity for you, in practice a request to us can only concern email you have sent us. Requests about advertising data or purchase records are best directed to Yodo1 or RevenueCat respectively, using the policies linked above; email us and we will help you route it. To make a request, contact admin@perikeelabs.com.
Perikee Labs LLC is a United States company, and the services named in this policy operate internationally, so data described here may be handled outside the country you live in. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority, and you can do that without contacting us first.
